WORKERS COMPENSATION

Workers Compensation (WC) insurance is statutory (government mandated) insurance. The schemes vary by state.

In NSW for example, WC insurance is compulsory for anyone who hires workers and pays a total of more than $7,500 per year in wages.

If your worker suffers a workplace injury/illness/disease, a claim is made with the WC insurer and your worker may be entitled to weekly benefits, medical and rehabilitation costs.
